Born in Winsted MN to parents, Fred and Minnie Bayerl.
Bill served in the Army in the Berlin Tunnel, intercepting communications from the Germans. After he was honorably discharged, he went to work for the city of Minneapolis and retired from the Water Dept. after 38 years. Bill was a loving husband and father, he was a good provider and very generous with his family and friends. Bill was very charismatic and had lots of buddies who liked to hang out together in "Willies Clubhouse" which was his garage. Bill loved to garden and won an award from the Star&Tribune for one of the best gardens in the city of Minneapolis after being nominated by a neighbor.
Bill Bayerl, my dad, was special and will always be in our hearts.
Survived by wife of 64 years, Barbara; daughters, Leslee and Bridget (Sam) and grandsons, Tyler, Alex and Zack. Bill will be missed by his dog, Leonard who was his loyal companion and there for him always.
Bill was close to his sister, Audrey and brother, Adrian who are also gone.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery
