Carol Susan Evans passed away on June 27, 2023 in Moscow, Idaho. She was born on December 1, 1938 in Whittemore, Iowa to Leonard Nicholas Weydert and Gertrude Veronica Klepper. She married Merrill Evans on October 2, 1985 in Browndale, Minnesota. She was a loving mother to 5 children, Lori, Craig, Brad, Scott and Kevin and stepmother to Sheri and Matthew. She had many grandchildren whom she loved very much. Carol was a Juvenile Care Counselor.
Carol loved gardening. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. She particularly loved serving with the Youth and with Temple and Family History. She served a mission with her husband, Merrill, in Barnwell South Carolina. She really loved her family; she especially loved her grandkids and being a grandma.
She is survived by her husband, Merrill, children Lori (Jeff) Loverink, Craig (Lori)Bernatz, Scott Bernatz, Kevin (Laura) Bernatz, Sheri Lynn (Brian) Chesser, Matthew (Donna) Evans, and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Scott Bernatz.
A visitation for Carol will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel, located at 375 North 800 West, Panguitch, Utah, 84759. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Panguitch Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. ww.mortuary.org
