Death of John D. Allerton.
GALESBURG, Mich., July 8.-Special.) —John D. Allerton, aged 84 years, died last evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida Carr, in this village. The deceased was well-known in this portion of the county, the "Allerton place," still being the familiar designation of the farm only a short distance from the village, upon which he resided some 20 years since. During recent years his home had been with Mrs. Carr and during the last three he had been practically helpless. Pending the arrival of a son. living in the west, the time of the funeral Is unannounced. Kalamazoo Evening Telegraph July 8, 1905 page 4
