FRANCES BLACKWELL
~ GREENVILLE - Frances Biddix Blackwell, 69, of 214 Dotham Court, formerly of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23, at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville.
~ A native of Gaffney, she was the wife of the late Walter Kenneth (Ken) Blackwell and daughter of the late John and Phyrina Humphries Biddix. Mrs. Blackwell was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church, and a homemaker.
~ Surviving are three sons, Kenny Blackwell and wife, Valerie, of Columbia, John Blackwell of Spartanburg, and Jamey Blackwell of Columbia; one daughter, Lynn Raber and husband, Brian, of Greenville; one brother, James Biddix and wife, Nellie, of Spartanburg; one sister, Debbie Cashion and husband, Jackie, of Blacksburg; seven grandchildren, Kristen Auton, Jonna Turner, Brooke Blackwell, Caitlyn Raber, Lucas Raber, Hannah Blackwell and Chloe Blackwell; and four great-grandchildren, Levi Turner, Breanna Auton, Taylor Shaffer and Tre Wilkins.
~ The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006, at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Sisk officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
