Guadalupe 'Lupe' Apodaca, 59, a resident of Barstow for 56 years passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at Barstow Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1945 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and for several years a sales lady at Rudes Shoe Store in Barstow. She loved visiting with family and friends and helping others. She was member of the United Pentecostal Church in Barstow. Lupe is preceded in death by her husband, David Apodaca Sr., and her son David Jr. Survivors include her daughter,Christina Chavez; son, Anthony Apodaca; granddaughter, Talina Apodaca;grandsons, Joe Chavez Jr., and Isaiah Chavez; brothers, Raymond, Marco,and Manuel Acosta; sisters, Elvira Velasquez, Julia Suplee, RosieTorres, Margarita Cordero, Maria Acosta, and Caroline Acosta. Visitationwill be held Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mead MortuaryChapel, 36930 Irwin Road. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov.20, 2004 at 11 a.m. also at Mead Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be atMountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road.
