Patricia Ann (Patty) Cooksey Wilson, 81, passed away January 12, 2012 in Victorville. She was born September 1, 1930 in Caney, Oklahoma, and has been a resident of Barstow for 49 years. Patricia attended East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma, graduating with a BA in education. She worked for the Silver Valley USD for 17 years and Barstow USD for 14 years. She was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association, Barstow Women's Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, First Baptist Church of Barstow, the Not Done For Yet Singers, the Barstow Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the San Bernardino County Council of Volunteers. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband James O. Wilson and parents Robert and Pauline Cooksey. Surviving Patricia are her children, M. Hope Deck (James), James Wilson (Nancy) and Tony Wilson (Megan), 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Patricia will be on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Barstow, 1320 Barstow Road. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road.
