James Earl Nelson, Sr., age 75, of Alford, FL, passed away on January 17, 2022 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.

James Earl was born to Phronie and Cassie Nelson on March 17, 1946 in Panama City, FL. He lived in Panama City until moving to Jackson County in 1984. James Earl married Linda Faye Carter on January 6, 1964. He retired from the Boilermaker Union after 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Glen Nelson and Lavaughn Nelson.

Funeral services for James Earl will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Vickery officiating. Interment will follow in Carpenter Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
