Luid Wolford Daws, 53, Naomi, died suddenly Saturday, June 2, in the Lake Cumberland Medical Center as the result of a heart attack.
A native of Naomi community, he was born Feb. 2, 1926, of parents, Alma McDaniel Daws and Wolford Daws. His father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Alma McDaniel Daws, Rt. 1, Nancy; wife, Emma Fitzgerald Daws, whom he married Jan. 12, 1952, and step-daughter, Patricia Ann Roberts, Rt. 1, Nancy.
Survivors also include brothers, Linville Daws, Verga, N.J.; Franklin Daws, Nancy, and Marvin Daws, Fowler, Ind.; sisters, Magola Burton, Verlene Hansford, and Imogene Duncan, Rt. 1, Nancy, Lounette Farmer, Ferguson, Wanda Sue Blevins, Somerset, Linda Spaw, Yosemite, Ruby Parks, Lexington, and Fayrene Shepherd, Boswell, Ind.; and one granddaughter, Melody Ann Roberts.
He was a farmer and an employee of the state Highway Department and attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held tomarrow (Tuesday, June 5) at 2 p.m. in the Science Hill Chapel of Morris and Hislope, with the Rev. Jimmy York officiating. Burial in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
