Franklin Roosevelt Daws, 68, Britthaven Nursing Home, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hostpital.
He was born May 4, 1933, in Naomi, a son of the late Wolford and Alma McDaniel Daws. He was a retired employee of Cimberland Wood and Chair and was of the Nazarene faith.
He is survived by two sons, James C. Daws, Somerset, and Bobby Dale Daws, Science Hill; a daughter, Mary Ann Daws, Somerset; a brother, Lenville Daws, New Jersey; eight sisters, Magola (and Everett)Burton, Nancy, Lounetta (and Louie)Farmer, Ferguson, Fayrene (and Lenvil)Shepperd, Indiana, Verlene (and Paul)Hansford, Somerset, Imogene (and Arnold)Duncan, Somerset, Ruby (and Jim)Parks, Lexington, Linda Spaw, Yosemite, and Wanda Sue (and Carroll)Blevins, Somerset; three grandchildren, Christopher, Kendra and Laressa Daws; and very special friend, Betty Frye, Somerset.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Moon, who died April 18, 1994; his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Luid Daws.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct.15, at the chapel of Lange and New Bros. Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Carroll Edge, pastor of Naomi Nazarene Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Norfleet Cemetery.
