Mr. Ellis was born in Cedar Springs on April 20,1932, to William Andrew and Nellie Oliver Ellis. He retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and was, also, a retired carpenter. He was an avid gardner, coffee drinker and story teller.
He is survived by his two daughters and a son in law of Jakin, GA and Donalsonville, GA; his 8 grandchildren and 5 grandchildren in law; and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lord Ellis, his daughter, Pam Harvey; his son, Curtis Ellis; his parents, his sister, Elloise Messe; brother-in-law Jack Messer, and a nephew, Patrick Messer.
