Bruce Abney Sr., of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on June 9, 2023 at the age of 68. He was a native of Slidell, Louisiana, born on July 29, 1954. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia Abney and Wilbert "Scrappy" Abney, and two siblings, Norman Abney and Charlotte Abney.

Bruce leaves behind, to cherish his memory, one son, Bruce Abney Jr.; two siblings, Sam Abney Sr. and Amelia "Bootsie" Nores; loving companion, Vikki Martin Headrick; and a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.

Bruce was a graduate of Salmen High School and Pearl River Community College. He retired from Lockheed Martin after many years of dedicated employment as an electrician. Bruce enjoyed camping and traveling in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Slidell. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
