Mr. Ray was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Wars serving in the U.S. Army with a total of 71/2 years in the paratroops and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and other citations.
He is survived by wife Lois.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Friday October 1st. from the Plainview Baptist Church with Rev. Larry and Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. On Friday the body will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00.
