Mae Laura Abshire Thomas, age 83, of Madisonville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Marion Turner Abshire and Annie Rae Mullins Abshire. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Summey; and her brother, Jake Abshire. Survivors include her daughter and son- in-law, Patricia and Justin Russell of Madisonville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandy Brigham of Elk Creek, Missouri, James Ronald Frank, Jr. and his girlfriend, Beth Tucker of Madisonville, Tennessee; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Brianna Brigham of Madisonville, Tennessee; special niece, Thelma White of Madisonville, Tennessee; several other nieces and nephews. The graveside service and interment will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Old Prospect Cemetery. Reverend Richard Tallent will officiate. The Thomas family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, Tennessee.
