Michael E. Thomas, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1946, the son of Lewis and Ethel Thomas.
Michael graduated from Southside High School. He went on to marry the love of his life Linda on December 4, 1964, and they shared fifty-nine years and a beautiful family together. Michael was a dedicated employee and spent forty-three years at AT&T. He was a proud member of the Daleville Masonic Lodge. In his free time, Michael loved to fish and golf. More than anything, he enjoyed "tormenting" his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Thomas; children, Shawn (Diana) Thomas, Todd (Emily) Thomas, and Christina (Jill) Thomas; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Shannon, Kim, Clara, Sam, and Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger; and granddaughter, Diana.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, Muncie. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
