Mr. Fuss was born in Bonn, Prussia, in 1821, came to this country in 1845 and settled in the town of Menomonee where he resided continuously up t0 the time of his death. He married Miss Elizabeth Stuesser of Richfield in 1850. Three daughters also survive him: Mrs. Clara Stoltz, Milwaukee, Mrs. Gertrude Jonen, Granville, and Mrs. Mary Tennessen, Fussville. Mr. Fuss was a man of strong local influence, took an active part in politics, and was a staunch supporter of the Democratic party.
