Deborah R. (Barnes) Allmon, 67, of Garnavillo, Iowa, joined her father and grandparents on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 when the Angels held her hands, wrapped their wings around her, and took away her pain.

Memorial services for Deb will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Milan American Legion Riders or to the Bettendorf American Legion Riders.

Deb was the wild child of six siblings born on January 4, 1955 to Edward Barnes and Shirley (Mathias) Barnes. She marched to the beat of her own drum. A graduate of Aledo High School. She ran as queen of the local county fair, she did not win queen, but was voted Miss Congeniality. If you knew her, it would not surprise you she was an outspoken, friendly gal to all and loved talking to everyone! Soon after high school, she started her family and had two beautiful daughters and a son.

Deb traveled the western states but never found her calling. She settled back in the Quad Cities area cooking and bartending at many local watering holes. Deb may have had small structure but she had a tough heart and strong will. Everyone that had meet her was left with a loving impression they soon could not forget.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Barnes, Rock Island; children, Jennifer (Cory) Flint, Tracy, MN., Rhiannon Puckett, Aledo, Jeff Root, Zephyrhills, FL.; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joseph, Alora, Connor, Isabella, Jenna and Raeanne; great grandchildren, Eva, Donovan, Lena ; sibling, Susan (Steve) Kolb, Chris (Debra) Barnes, Michael (Susan) Barnes, Annette (Mark) Hoeft, Patrick (Carolyn) Barnes and Theresa (Jerry) Shinners.
