Carolyn Norman was born March 9, 1940 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Leonard and Belle Gabbard.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved daughter and light of her life Lisa Norman; sister-in-law and lifelong friend Barbara Gabbard of Prairie Grove; two canine companions and 3 granddogs; four nephews and one niece and the beautiful families they have created, and numerous friends, former patients, and their grateful families.
She was welcomed to heaven on Sunday, June 18, 2023 and she was greeted by her husband of 55 years B.J. Norman, parents Leonard and Belle Gabbard, brothers Norman Gabbard, Glenn Gabbard and wife Lois Gabbard, and numerous friends, extended family members and precious furry companions.
Carolyn's main passion in life was caring for and doting on Lisa. Second, was her passion and devotion to her nursing career. Carolyn was an RN for more than 50 years. She worked at WRMC for many years and then North Hills Surgery. When she finally "retired" she continued nursing part time doing home health for several more years. She cherished the many friendships made during her nursing career.
Services will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2 PM at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
