Dorothy and Wayne farmed for many years. She retired in 1979. She enjoyed playing cards and camping.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her niece, Marilyn Heaton of Aledo; great-niece Stephanie (Josh) Mader of Rock Island; great-nephew, Ryan Leihsing of Aledo; dear friends; Jodi and Steve Palmer of Reynolds, Amber and Dusty McKeag and their children, Connor and Kylee, and Cassi Quinn and her daughter, Rayann Steitmatter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; daughter Carol Ann; and brother, George Gritton.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at the Eliza Creek Cemetery.
