Andrew Jackson Huckabee enlisted October 29, 1861 at Magnolia, AR. in Co. E, Johnson's 15th Arkansas Infantry Regiment with his uncle, James P. Huckabee, and his first cousin, George C. Huckabee. They were captured at Fort Donelson Feb. 16, 1862. George died at the Union's Camp Butler less than a month later on March 12, 1862. His cousin Andrew died 3 days later on March 15 and his father, James P. Huckabee, died 14 days later on March 26, 1862.
