Marlene J. McCurdy, 90, passed away September 6, 2022, with her children at her side.

Marlene was born December 23, 1931, in Tuscola, Michigan, to the late Howard and Mary Haines. On October 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, H. Duane McCurdy, who preceded her in death. Together they raised three children:
Preceded in death by brother, Donald Haines.

Marlene worked at Universal Engineering, Parker's Orchard, and many years at the Millington Arbela District Library, retiring in 2015. She volunteered as a longtime member of the GFWC Millington Women's Club. Marlene loved sports and games, playing on softball teams and horseshoe leagues, and bowling until she was 82. She loved her family and friends dearly, always providing what was needed. She cherished many memories of snowmobile and lake life.

Family will receive friends at Hanlin Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. Committal services will be held at Newton-Compau Cemetery on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 1 p.m. A luncheon at Arbela Township Hall will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family will be used to bless others.
