Elaine Lucy Caroline was born on March 4, 1931, the daughter of Chris and Carrie (Deike) Busch in Waverly. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1948.
On February 2, 1951, she united in marriage to Harlem Albrecht at Peace United Church of Christ in Waverly.
The couple lived and farmed on the Albrecht homestead until retiring in 1989.
Elaine also worked for several companies including Chamberlin Manufacturing, John Deere in Waterloo, Skyteck in Waverly and later worked as a cook at the Waverly Bowl In.
Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and always enjoyed seeing them and her great-grandchildren.
Elaine will be remembered for her hard work ethic, her many-many crocheted Afghans and her amazing potato salad.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlem in 2009; son, Randall 2019 four brothers, Mervin, Lowell and Carrol Busch and one in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 am at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with Chaplain Rusty Van Wey from Cedar Valley Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Warren Evangelical Cemetery rural Waverly.
