Mr. Glenn Bailey, 71, of Sylvester died Sunday September 30, 2012 at Phoebe North.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 4, 2012 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Ray Bittner will officiate.

Mr. Bailey was born on October 13, 1940 to the late Henry Perry and Louise James Bailey in Warwick, GA. He has lived in Worth County for the past 28 years. Mr. Bailey retired as owner of Gordy Logistics, Inc. Following graduation from Warwick High School, Mr. Bailey joined the United States Navy and became a frogman having served 10 years and helped recover the Gemini Capsule.

Survivors include his wife Libby Bailey of Sylvester; son, Glenn Dwayne Bailey, Jr. of Lee County, Andrew Turner Bailey (Marlena) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Joshua Glenn Bailey, Jessica Nicole Bailey, Emily Elizabeth Bailey; brother, Perry Bailey of Moultrie; sisters, Diane Carr of Albany and Gail Corbett.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
