Antonio F. Abarca, age 78, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Antonio was born in Manhattan, New York on July 27, 1943 and attended school in Bethlehem, New York.

Antonio worked many years for the Veteran's Hospital in Albany, New York and later retired. Antonio's hobbies were listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, building models, wrestling, and watching his favorite movies and TV shows.

He was happiest in the company of family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Antonio F. Flores, of Nassau, New York; his niece and caregiver, Laceine Lopez of Tampa, Florida; his sister's; Olga Barrios of Winter Park, Florida, Ramona Bashaw of Lakeland, Florida, and Carmen Lopez of Tampa, Florida; his brother's, Enrique Abarca of Winter Park, Florida, and John Torres of Fitchburg, Massachusetts; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Abarca; his son, Gerald Flores; father, Francisco Abarca; mother, Angela (Monge) Abarca; brother's, George and Carlos Abarca; and sister, Rosa Cruz.

Antonio was loved and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service for Antonio will be held on November 6th, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at the Gandy Civic Association located at 4207 W. Oklahoma Ave, Tampa, Florida, 33616.
