HARRY C. SMEDLEY
Harry C. Smedley of 650 S. East End Ave. died at home Saturday at 11:45 a.m. after a three-month illness.
Mr. Smedley was born May 2, 1894, in Tallula, Ill. He moved to Ontario nine years ago from Iowa, where he had lived for many years. For the past seven years he had resided in Pomona. He was a member of the Towne Avenue Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Smedley leaves his widow, Mrs. Pearl Smedley; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Neal of Golden, Mrs. Helen Nixon of Montclair, Mrs. lone Huisinga of Denison, Iowa, Mrs. Pauline Preston of Chula Vista, Mrs. Rosalee Moss and Mrs. Alice Huisinga, both of Webster City, Iowa; a son, Eugene Smedley of Pomona; two brothers, Roy Smedley and Ernest Smedley, both of Ashland, 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Todd Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Clyde W. Rather, pastor of the Town Avenue Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.
Entombment will he made in Pomona Mausoleum.
