Earl Witherspoon rites will be held Wednesday
Earl Witherspoon, former manager of the Cowden Manufacturing C. in Delano, died Sunday, January 19, at Delano Community Hospital. He was 60. Well Known in Delano, Witherspoon lived at 615 S. Lexington St., Space 71. He retired several years ago, but was more recently an automobile salesman. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, August 9, 1914, and came to Calif. and Delano 15 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bernice Witherspoon of Delano; daughters, Mrs. Donnal Kelly of Fayeteville, Tenn., and Mrs. Linda Finch of San Ardo, Calif.; a son, Bob Witherspoon; sisters Mrs. Pearl Cooney of Los Angeles, Mrs. Ann Smith of Petaluma, Calif., and Mrs. Josephine Blanchard of San Luis Obispo; his brother James Boydston of Kansas City, Missouri, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Chapel of the Congregations at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Foster officiating. Interment will be in North Kern District Cemetery with the Delano Morturary in charge.
