DAVENPORT — H. Shannon Boyd, 84, of Davenport, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Private family services will be held. There is no visitation. The body was cremated. Halligan- McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boyd was a professor of engineering at the former St. Ambrose College, Davenport, from 1946-74. After that, he worked in the auditor's office at Scott County Courthouse, Davenport. He married Roma Frankovich in 1936 in Canton, III. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis, Bettendorf; and three grandchildren.
