Elizabeth McKinley Baker passed away on March 23, 2008.
She was born on May 17, 1908, in Louisville, Ky.
She was educated in private schools in Louisville. She met her first husband, Thomas Cameron McKinley Jr., when he was attending Kentucky Military School. She moved to Charleston after they married in 1926. They resided in Kanawha City for most of their marriage. After Tom's death in 1954, Elizabeth married Forrest Baker. They were married until 1977, when Baker passed away. Elizabeth owned and operated Baker Apartments in Kanawha City until 1993.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Cameron McKinley Jr.; second husband, Forrest Baker; parents, William and Ruth Herr Arterburn; grandson, Cameron McKinley Brown; son-in-law, Natie Brown; brothers, William and Branham Arterburn; sister, Sue Stich; and many friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Ann McKinley Brown; granddaughter, Victoria Trent and her husband, Greg, of Charleston; brother, Charles Arterburn of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved poodles, Silvi and Suzi.
Being Kentucky born and bred, Elizabeth loved horses and horse racing. She also loved flowers and gardening. She enjoyed flower arranging, painting, decorating her house and playing bridge. Elizabeth was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
There will be no visitation.
