John "David" Taylor, age 66, of Lexington, GA, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was a machinist with True American Classics. David will best be remembered as one of the most kind-hearted and caring men you would ever meet. He was always willing to help others in need, loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. David was loved by many and will be missed by all.

He was the son of the late Mildred Aycock Taylor and the late Joe Wesley Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: George Taylor and Joey Taylor; and his sisters, Denise Mabrey and Ann Smith.

He is survived by his son, Timmy (Dawn) Taylor of Winder; step-son, Greg Cain of Walnut Grove; three grandchildren: Clint (Elizabeth) Bolinger, Morgan Taylor, and Chloe Taylor of Winder; and two step-grandchildren: Joseph Cain and Crystal Cain of Walnut Grove; and one great-granddaughter: Blaire Bolinger of Winder. He is also survived by brothers: Eddie Taylor of Lexington, Harris Taylor of Lexington, Wayne Taylor of Gillsville, Scottie (Ann) Taylor of Augusta, Brandon (Rebecca) Taylor of Monroe, Carey Taylor of Lexington; and his sisters, Pam (Patrick) Campbell, Angie (Chris) Holder of Lexington, Lynn (Joey) Looney of Rayle.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Memory Chapel, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in Smith Memory Chapel immediately following the visitation at 2:00 pm.
