Elizabeth Washington Dade (c1810-72) married in Fauquier County, Va. in 1828, James Lyon[s] Dabney (1808-87). He was a teacher and moved from one school to another. He died on his son George's ranch near Willow City in Bastrop County, Tx. Ten children were Catherine Lewis (1829-33); Susan Eleanor (1831-75) who married Thomas Threadgill Kimbrough (1822-1903); James Henry (1833-60) who married Sue Williams; George Robert (1835-1927) who married Louise Adeline Young (1843-1924); Margaret Emily (1838-1909) who married John Nash; Thomas Wilson (1840-79) who married Mary Jane Kennedy; Lelia Adelaide (1842-1918) who married William Andrew Highsmith (1839-1912); Charles Francis (1845-63) who served in the Civil War (CSA) and was mortally wounded at the Battle at Milliken's Bend, La.; Laura Lee Dabney(1850-1895) she married a Cope and 2ndly to George Robert Allen, and Daingerfield Lewis Dabney (1854-99) who married Mary Ellen Johnson (1857-1947).
