Portuguese football player and coach, founding partner and manager of Sporting Clube de Portugal. He played for SCP between 1908 and 1924 and was vice-president of the club twice. He was also a military officer and a bank officer at the Ultramarine National Bank. A victim of syphilis, he committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a train at the Sete Rios Railway Station, in Lisbon.
