The first sentence in the memorial is not correct. Susanna was not the wife of T. C. Hockersmith. She was the first wife of A. R. Hockersmith (1813-1887), memorial #25487692. Her headstone has been broken and pieced back together. Someone has either carved letters into the stone where the break was or has edited the photo to add the letters "T. C." You can read about the Hockersmith family in the article entitled "History of the Hockersmith Family in Saline County" published in the September 2003 issue of The Saline, the journal of the Saline County History and Heritage Society. Also, the marriage record of Susanna to Alfred Rice Hockersmith Sr., as well as the 1850 and 1860 censuses, are on the Family Search website. The information in the memorial about Susanna being the daughter of Lilburn and Mary Taylor Wright and the sister of Benjamin Wright is correct. .
