Homer, husband of Elizabeth Jane (Jones) Keener was father to Mary Gail(Keener/McDonough)McHugh, Iva M.(Rushton)Keener, and Herman Guy Keener. Homer was a farmer for most of his life, but near the end of his life he took a job on the B&O which had built a spur line into Braxton County. That decision would cost him his life as he was crushed to death between two railroad cars on October 19, 1914. He was just 37 at the time of his death . Homer was the son of Samuel Vent and Nancy(Perkins)Keener and the grandson of John Frame and Margaret(Stewart)Keener.
