OBITUARY.
Comrade James S. Albro was born in Ohio July 17, 1838, died at the home of his son in Lawrence, Kan., May 30, 1912, aged 73 years, 10 mo. and 13 days.
He enlisted in Co. M. 11th Mich. Cavalry and was discharged at the close of the war after a service of two and one half years in the army of the Cumberland and took part in several important battles. His rank was that of 1st sargent.
He married to Mary J. Barns in New York in 1867, to this union 6 children were born, of whom two, a son and daughter, are living. His wife died in Jan., 1902. He was married in Sept. 1902, to Mrs. Mary Turner, of Kansas City, Kan.
He was a citizen of Jefferson Co., Kan., 17 years.
The cause of death was heart failure. J. H. Z.
