Sarah Aleene Williams, 85, resident of Ripley, departed this life Tuesday evening, June 6, 2023 at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.

Funeral Services remembering the life of Ms. Williams will be at 12 Noon Friday, June 9 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Lewellen officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM to 12 Noon and burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Benton County.

Ms. Williams was born November 9, 1937 in Benton County, the last surviving child of the late Jessie and Lila Mae Jordan Williams. She was a graduate of Hickory Flat Attendance Center and worked in Pulpwood for a number of years and also helped with the cutting of firewood for the family.

A Christian, Ms. Williams ( known at "Bitt" or "Bitty" to many) will be remembered as a very hard worker who helped take care of those that were sick or helped others any way she could. Hobbies included quilting and reading. A sweet and loving person, she will be missed.

Memories will continue to be shared by two nieces, Joyce Williams and Billie Ann Heard (James), both of Blue Mountain a special great niece, Teressa Williams of Blue Mountain and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Edna, Callie, Pearl and Polly and three brothers, Albert, J.C and J.W.
