Earl Kenneth Street, 58, Baxter Springs route 2, died at 9am Friday in the Parsons Medical Center where he had been a patient four weeks.
Mr. Street was born in Cherokee County, Kansas on June 27, 1912, and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a farmer and had been employed in the maintenance department at the Kansas Ordnance Plant in Parsons. He was a member of the Mound Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving is a brother Laurence Street of Baxter Springs route 2, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Buckley of Chetopa, KS route 1.
Services will be at 2pm on Sunday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Walker officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, northwest of Picher, under direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Picher.
Pall bearers will be Gene Cassell, Jim Fry, Jim Davis, Vernon Amos, Roy Amos and Earl Rich. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm tonight at the Paul Thomas Chapel in Picher. The family will be at the home of Laurence Street, Baxter Springs route 2.
