The following is taken from his obituary:

"Fredrick Hannebaum"

Fredrick A. J. Hannebaum, son of Henry and Catherine Hannebaum was born, December 12, 1864 at Peppertown, Indiana, and departed this life May 29, 1963 at his farm home near Tescott at the age of 98 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was united in marriage to Emma E. Reifel at Peppertown, Indiana, July 29, 1884, and they moved from Peppertown to a farm 3 miles east and 3 miles south of Tescott, Kansas, in August of 1900, where he resided until his death.

To this union seven children were born. He was a devoted father, ever mindful of the happiness of his children. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Tescott. A daughter, Cora, and a son, Arnold, preceded him in death, and his wife departed this life on Jan. 19, 1949.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a daughter, Mrs. Ida Berthelson, of Tescott; four sons, Walter Hannebaum, of Tescott, Henry Hannebaum, of Salina, Earl Hannebaum of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Armund Hannebaum of Denver, Colorado; 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

The memorial service was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Friday, May 31, with the Rev. Harold Martens officiating. Mr. John Kalb and Mr. Leo Diehl sang "Abide with Me" and "Nearer My God To Thee". They were accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Muriel Greene. The Pallbearers were Robert Beeler, Clifford Nyberg, Glen Hannebaum, Donald Hannebaum, Dean Hannebaum, and Darrell Hannebaum. Burial was in the Franklin Cemetery.
