In 1863 he married Mary Rachel Frazee. To this union one son was born, Charles Sumner Anderson, who now lives near Arcola, Louisiana. In 1867, Mrs. Anderson died.
After her death Mr. Anderson went to Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa and lived with Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Henderson, now residents of Elton, Louisiana.
In 1869, he married Susie Caroline Beach. They lived on their farm in Webster County 17 years, during which time six children were born--three boys and three girls. The first three died in early years after which were born the three surviving: one son Wyatt, and two daughters Mrs. A. J. Hine and Mrs. G. R. Walton, all of Elton, Louisiana.
From Iowa, Mr. Anderson with his family moved to Elton, Louisiana in 1886, and there spent the remainder of his days, a period of 34 years.
Died early (8:25) Sunday morning, August 1, 1920.
