Clara McKinney, 74, of Wichita Falls, and formerly of Burkburnett, died Friday, March 21, 2008, in Wichita Falls. She was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Houston and Nellie Stout. She was a dental assistant and a member of the Presbyterian Church, an active member of TOPS for 20 years and KOPS Yellow Rose Society. Clara married Doyle McKinney on May 8, 1953.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, at the St John Episcopal Church in Burkburnett, with Rev. Tim Coppinger, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery with Owens & Brumley of Burkburnett in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include husband, Doyle of Wichita Falls, daughter, Barbara Vaughan of Wichita Falls, sons, Michael McKinney of Friendsville, Tennessee, and Patrick McKinney of Mobile, Alabama, brother, Buck Stout of Oklahoma City, and sister, Geraldine Bennett of California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
