Son of William Henry Boner and Willie Cone.
He served in WWI in the US Navy. He even signed up to serve in WWII.
He married Gladys Adair Castleman on Mar 20, 1921 in Davidson County, Tennessee. To this union they were blessed by the following children:
Winona M Boner Godwin
Alma Boner Fentress Packer
Arlis Warren Boner
Lois Jean Boner Pearce
In the early 1920's he and several brother-in-laws moved to Illinois from Tennessee. He continued his father's career as a farmer until his health failed him and the family moved into the city of Springfield IL.
He died at the Veteran's Hospital in Dwight IL
Daughters Winona and Alma are both buried at Camp Butler. Alma's second husband Robert Packer, adjacent.
Son A. Warren Boner is buried at Camp Butler along with Warren's wife, Florence, and their infant son Thomas Earnest Boner, adjacent.
Lois' husband Patrick Pearce is also buried at Camp Butler.
Grandson James Godwin is also buried at Camp Butler
Wife, Gladys buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, outside Springfield, IL next to her second husband Phil Lemons
