Mrs. Ashby was a loving wife and mother. She was a dedicated member of Liberty Spring Christian Church, where she served as Head Deacon for years. She worked with Portsmouth Schools for over a decade. Mrs. Ashby loved nature and bird watching. She looked forward to her annual visits from the hummingbirds.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Nicholas G. Ashby and daughter, Melody G. Wilson along with close friends and many who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on June 26, 2022 in the Liberty Spring Christian Church at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 8180 Greensboro Dr #400, McLean, VA 22102.
