Served 2yrs 11m in the 16th PA Cal, Co M, during the Civil War. Jeremiah is the man to the right. The man to the left is his son, Caleb Brown Nead. They fought together at Gettysburg with the 16th PA CAV, Co. M. This photo was emailed to me by Dorothy Nead Angle (Great-Granddaughter of Jeremiah).. Jeremiah Need was in town last Monday morning, and while nu one of the stores at tending to business his buggy blankets were slowly burning from the fire that fell from a lighted cigar, it is supposed, as he was smoking when he came into the store.
