While working at McCully's Livery Barn, he was attacked by a "Jack". He died from the injuries.
He and his wife came to Kansas about 16 years ago. His wife and a daughter, Goldie survived him.
Services held at the residence. Rev. Joseph Morris of the Christian church officiated. Burial was to be in Oswego cemetery.
