Laura Davis Cantwell was the fourth of eleven children of Edgar Thornton Davis (1832-1919 KY-MO) and Eliza Jane Greenstreet Davis (1840-1923 KY-MO). Both of her parents are buried here in New Boston Cemetery Linn County New Boston Missouri.

She married 1886 Edward Johnson Cantwell (1865-1936) s/o William Hampton Cantwell (1839-1875) and Sarah A. Murry Cantwell (2m)Carter (1843-1915). Both of "EJ" Cantwell's parents are buried in Helton Cemetery Macon County Goldsberry Missouri.

They had one child Beulah Annolia Cantwell Baker b-April 15 1887 Winigan Missouri, d-Nov 5 1959 KCMO. Beulah married Aug 12 1908 Louis Arthur Baker (d-1964 Miami FL) eldest son of William Leon Baker and Sarah Elizabeth Barnes Baker. They celebrated 50+ years of marriage. Mr Baker was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in Linn and Macon County MO, and later was a postman for 50 years in KCMO. Both Beulah and Louis are buried at Mt Washington Cemetery KCMO.
