Richard Brazier enlisted as 2nd Sergeant of Company E of the U.S. Mormon Battalion. He was on detached service 10 Nov 1846 and was with Lieutenant Willis' Pueblo detachment. As such he would have entered the Salt Lake Valley 29 Jul 1847.
