Palmyra--Raymond E. Watson, Sr., 81, died April 27, 1994, at a Bangor Hospital. He was born September 28, 1912, in Caribou, the son of George E. and Susan (St. Peter) Watson. He attended Caribou schools and was a self-employed farmer in Caribou, Stetson, Corinna, and Palmyra. Mr. Watson had also been a member of the Grange. He is predeceased by his wife, Delina Watson; two sons, George E. and James Watson; a daughter, Lillian Watson; a brother, Fred Watson; and a grandson, Stanley Sprague. He is survived by 11 sons, Thomas Watson of Florida; Frank Watson of Charleston; John Watson of California; Dale Watson of Carmel; Murray Watson of Corinna; George Watson of Palmyra; Raymond Watson Jr. of Pittsfield; William and Hermon Watson, both of Palmyra; Terry Watson of Florida and Charles Watson of Hartland. Six daughters, Barbara Chancy of New Sweden, Louise Savage of Stetson, Patricia West of Pennsylvania, harriet Chalbeck of New Hampshire, Betsy Witman of Plymouth and Lydia Labree of Palmyra; two brothers, Paul Watson of Florida and Glenn Watson of Levant; four sisters, Harriet Adams of Jay, Avis Wilson of Stetson, Margaret Watson and Vera Russell, both of Bangor; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices and nephews. Friends may visit 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel with his grandson, Rev. Michael Hood officiating.
