Mrs. Mary E. Cason, 76, a well known and loved resident of Hamilton County died at the home of her daughter, N.B. Bryant, early Saturday morning. She was the widow of the late William L. Cason and she and Mr. Cason were lifelong residents of Hamilton County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. N.B. Bryan, and Mrs. Ed Wells, Jasper, one brother, Willie Altman, Coleman, Florida and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 4 PM Sunday in the Prospect Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev. T.T. Law officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home, Lake City, in charge. Active pallbearers were; Clyde Hunter, Mack Wheeler, Houston Brown, Henry Brown, Joe Dedge and R.H. Hunter.
