Ed retired from Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury after a long career in auto parts for several dealers. He loved cars and was an avid NASCAR fan! He and Barbara enjoyed camping in their RV and attending FanFare in Nashville for 13 years where he enjoyed his country music. He loved his furry cats and as everyone knows, Ed was a huge UK Wildcat Basketball fan!
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Alma Hawkins.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Kennison Hawkins (Mary), Chase Hawkins (Dawn); grandchildren, Kristin, Cameron, Amanda, Haley; sister, Shirley Mosely; and many loving extended family and friends, especially the walking group from the mall.
Ed's funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2pm. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will be private.
