Died, at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 1912, at the Springfield hospital, Mrs. Hattie Goldie Brubaker, wife of John L. Brubaker of Divernon, aged 28 years, 9 months and 15 days. The remains were removed to the home of the decedent's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Hocker, 1313 South Sixth street, where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon and at the United Brethren church. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
Decedent was born in this county Nov. 16, 1883, and resided here for twenty-five years. She was married in this city May 24, 1905, to John L. Brubaker, who recently accepted a position as principal of the Divernon public schools. Mr. Brubaker brought his wife to the hospital here Friday and after suffering terribly all night she passed away.
Decedent is survived by her husband, one daughter, Hazel; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Hocker; one brother, Devilla F. Hocker, and one sister, Mrs. Thomas L. Ewing, all of this city.
