Ruth was born September 3, 1917 in Duncannon, to Harry and Viola (Weaver) Baker.
She worked for the former Eileen Hope Dress Factory and Newport Fashion Factory. She was a member of the Newport Senior Citizen Center and an was an Elvis fan.
Ruth was the widow of Harold E. Wright.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth Wright of Wetumpka, AL, Richard Wright of Newport, Wayne Wright of York Springs and Denny Wright of Halifax; daughters, Connie Miller of Sebring, FL, Ardella Smith of Newport and Cheryl Bordner of Winfield; brother, Harry Baker of Enola; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Earl, James and Elwood Wright; daughters, Lois Haines and Janet Wright; brothers, Ken and Charles Baker; sisters, Evelyn Leonard, Margaret Campbell, Edna Freeland and Thelma Baker.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 7th at 11 a.m., in the Red Hill Cemetery, Newport.
