Parents: Ethel and Galen Carpenter

raised in Colorado Springs. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School (now Palmer High), class of 1948. She was a graduate of Colorado Women's College, and the University of Denver class of 1953. She also attended Colorado College. Bob and Vicky met on a DU-sponsored ski trip and were married a year later.

Vicky was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, and up until her latter years, she was an active member of PEO Zebulon Pike chapter, the Assistance League of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and DAR. She was a member of "The Bridge Club," composed of seven long-time dear friends who played regularly for more than 20 years. Vicky was a preschool teacher, who is fondly remembered by her students at Little Folks School, Cheyenne Mountain Preschool and Broadmoor Community Preschool. Vicky was an accomplished artist, enjoying painting, sculpting and drawing. In her youth, she and her sister were members of the Broadmoor Skating Club when Edi Scholdan was the coach. Vicky continued to skate well into her adulthood. She enjoyed regaling the younger members of the family with stories of her child acting career in commercials produced by the Alexander Film Company located in Colorado Springs.

She is remembered for her friendly and outgoing personality, her sense of humor, and of course for her very active role as daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Galen Carpenter, brother, Larry Carpenter, and brother-in-law, John Grow.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, her sister Jeanie Grow, and her daughters Becky Bennett and Connie Gordon; sons-in-law Brian Bennett and James Gordon; grand-daughters Kristen Olson, Lauren Wallace (husband Erik Wallace), Heather Mariah Berube (husband Brandon Berube), and Rachael Gordon (partner Mercedes Trujillo), and step-grandson Drew Bennett (wife Carrie); great-grandsons Phoenix Scott, and Jasper and Theo Bennett, and great-granddaughters Elle and West Wallace, nieces Julie Grow Olson, and Lorie Carpenter Niska, nephews Gary Grow, Jack Grow, and Jeff Carpenter and her sister-in-law, Carol Carpenter.
